What Are Smile Kits?

As part of our mission to offer unexpected acts of kindness, we provide care packages, also called “Smile Kits,” to female cancer patients. Smile Kits contain soothing items such as a fuzzy blanket, a journal, a stress-relieving adult coloring book, colored pencils, fuzzy socks, custom lip balm, and maybe even something a little silly. For a personal touch, packages also include cards of encouragement created by volunteers, students, and other survivors.

Your generosity has allowed BSNCF to deliver more than 4,800 Smile Kits to cancer patients in every state in the U.S. BSNCF is a nonprofit, so Smile Kits are only possible through tax-deductible donations by individuals like you. Thank you!

How Can I Request a Smile Kit?

If you would like to nominate a special woman to receive a Smile Kit, use the form and consider paying it forward: donate, start a fundraiser, walk, or run in honor of your loved one in the BSNCF Run/Walk.

Just $35 helps cover the cost of one Smile Kit, and $100 funds care packages for three women. Every donation – large or small – makes a difference. Donations help cover the costs of care package contents and shipping for cancer patients to pay it forward.

Nominations with a donation or BSNCF Run/Walk Registration are guaranteed to receive a kit as well as priority and extra goodies. All requests are verified for authenticity and are filled as funding allows. Please do not send multiple requests.

Fighting cancer, but still fabulous!

What Are People Saying?

“Just received the most thoughtful and sweetest “Smile Kit.” Thank you so much! I’m already using the pink heating pad. What a wonderful surprise to receive after just getting home from the hospital and day 3 of radiation!”    – Natasha, Clifton, Virginia

“Thanks SO much for thinking of me. Saturday was my ickiest post-treatment day so far, but your Smile Kit literally made me smile. It has a lovely fleece blanket, some cozy aloe socks, lip balm, several handmade cards, and a wonderful famous world cities coloring book and pencils that reminded me that better days will (hopefully) be ahead. You made my day!”    – Smile Kit Recipient
