Holding a shoe drive is a great way to volunteer for BSNCF and raise funds for our Smile Kit program.

The FBLA Interact Club of Riverside High School in Virginia held a successful shoe drive collecting over 300 pairs of used athletic shoes. In addition, they raised enough funds and in kind donations to fund 100 Smile Kits.

In the spirit of environmental and economic sustainability, The Barnett Searing National Cancer Foundation, is proud to partner with GotSneakers, a sneaker recycling organization, to collect used athletic shoes. BSNCF receives up to $5 for every pair of wearable athletic sneakers. Funds earned will be allocated to support our mission of supporting female cancer patients and their families throughout the United States. There is no limit to the amount of funds that we can earn together.

Holding a shoe drive is a great way to volunteer for BSNCF and amplify our message in your community. To start a shoe drive in your place of work, worship, school or neighborhood, simply collect gently used athletic shoes at a designated drop-off point. After collection, BSNCF will mail you a pre-paid shipping bag. Once the gently used shoes are mailed to GotSneakers, they will issue a donation check back to  BSNCF.

This is a fantastic project for schools, athletic teams, girl and boy scouts, families, individuals, or corporations wanting to make an impact and can be implemented safely during COVID-19.

Collecting shoes is easy! We suggest optionally setting up a fundraising link for your project as some supporters will not have shoes to recycle but will want to contribute to your project and spread joy.
